Our story
Scarlet & Grey began in 2019 with one folding table, a church kitchen, and 42 lunches handed out on a July afternoon in Linden. Families kept coming, so we kept cooking.
Today we are a USDA-approved sponsor for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), operating dozens of sites and helping partner organizations launch their own.
Food opened the door. Community support and youth empowerment keep it open — because a fed child still needs a mentor, a safe place, and someone who believes they will lead someday.
